The Vancouver Island Rock and Alpine Garden Society is pleased to be celebrating 100 years, since first meeting in 1921. We are on track to make this year’s annual Spring Show and Sale a special event!
The Show is scheduled for April 1 (1-8 pm) and April 2 (1-5 pm) at the Mary Winspear Centre in Sidney, BC. It will feature the best of our rock, alpine, woodland and bog plants, and offer a crevice garden demonstration, plant sales, door prizes, a silent auction, tea and lunch. Admission is by donation.
As well, VIRAGS will be hosting a symposium during the second morning of the Show, with visiting speakers Panayoti Kelaidis, Senior Curator of the Denver Botanic Gardens, and Laura Caddy, Curator of the E.H. Lohbrunner Alpine Garden at UBC. There is limited registration at a cost of $35 for this session.
