Too Much Fruit on my Peach Tree?

We bought and planted this peach tree last year (from Outback). Not sure how old it was…it’s small so assumed it was a young tree. We weren’t expecting fruit for a number of years. Well, it looks like we may have a mass of peaches and I’m a bit concerned. I think there may be too many. Should we be removing some of the little fruits? That will be hard to do! It’s a Reliance semi dwarf.

Do not remove any of the fruits at this time, the tree will do that itself. It will drop fruits it cannot sustain, apple trees do the same thing. When they get larger and you feel there are too many in one place, then you could remove some. (How large, you will know when the time comes)…

Thank you so much Darlene! I was hoping for that answer…much prefer to let nature take it’s course. And we do love watching the fruits grow daily. It’s quite amazing how fast they get bigger.
