I’ve had my Yukon Gold seed potatoes sitting out chitting quietly in the house. Is it time to plant? Every place I go to find dates suggests something a bit different. I know that they can resist some frost, but it’s the wetness around that I’m worried about.

I planted mine a little over a week ago, in a raised garden bed. Nothing showing yet, but expect something next week with all the hot sunny days we are to get.
Depending on how you are going to plant your potatoes, you could mix some sand with the soil below the potato to help with drainage, then hill up as the plant grows.
In years past I have planted potatoes as late as mid-June and still had a great crop!
