Sunflowers are for the birds

6 or 7 years ago a good friend gave us a dried sunflower head. We’ve thrown a few seeds into the garden every year since and they’ve always done well but this year is the last of the seeds from Donna. We usually leave the for the birds to eat but we’ll have to save at least one flower head for ourselves to keep them growing next year. Funny thing, even though they are all from the same flower head they don’t all look the same. There must have been some cross pollination going on.
