Hi, Wynn here. In reply to questions re the cultivar of English lavender used as the dominant lavender in the Mediterranean garden, which of course I couldn’t remember, had me diving into my box of labels and i found it! “Eternal Elegance”.
Described as “Outstanding fragrant dark blackberry purple flowers bloom heavily spring through fall. Fast upright growing habit, easy care and very attractive to pollinators. Yep, the bees were all crazy over it.
Also, the exceptionally tall, robust late blooming iris (blooming long after all the others are done) is on my agenda to identify. Deep dark purple, ruffled double flower. Brought it from my previous garden so the label has been long lost. Fabulous iris though and extends the iris patch blooming by at least a couple of weeks.
