Just had some delicious pears grown in the Comox Valley. Wondering if anyone knows the best variety of pear 
to plant in our area. Or if you know which variety may be in this picture, recently picked by lush.

Sorry I can’t help you with variety, but I can recommend that you either make sure you buy a self pollinating one or buy two different varieties that are compatible (I.e. produce blossoms at the same time). We have two pear trees and they blossom at different times….and they aren’t self pollinating as we’ve discovered (we’ve inherited them). Every year we hope for pollination but it doesn’t happen…even if we pollinate by hand.
I grow Conference and Rescue, both good and pollinate each other.
