On this recent Open Garden Tour, we visited a fabulously densely-planted city lot — absolutely full to the brim with many beautiful beds. Dahlias were the star of the show, with so many blooms tucked in everywhere that were in their full glory. There were many other beautiful flowers paired with the gorgeous dahlias (by plan or by happy surprise) or just being stars on their own — nigella, agastache, monarda, hydrangea, hardy fuchsia, a massive rosemary, and even kale.
Also present was a greenhouse, crevice garden, peaceful pond, and a productive veg garden tucked away at the side of the house. This was such an interesting garden that was full of pollinators…and also happy-sounding tree frogs. Many thanks to Gael and Rick for sharing this beautiful space with us on such a glorious late summer day.
