Making Your Own Botanical Salve

- Cost: $40 members or $50 non-member guests; all materials included
“Seasonal Solstice Salve Make-and-Take”
In celebration of the beginning of summer, CVHS is partnering with Innisfree Farm to present a workshop on using herbs from your garden to make botanical salve.
The workshop will include:
- Harvesting - participants will harvest St. John’s Wort, Calendula, Arnica
- Making a salve - discuss methods for oil infusion. Demonstration of salve-making with infused oil (prepared ahead of time) and beeswax.
- Discussion of medicinal properties of the herbs harvested while the salve sets
- Participants take home 50ml salve plus harvested materials to make their own at home. Class notes provided.
