Liming a lawn and/or veggie beds

I’ve always heard that it’s a good idea to apply lime as our soils are so acidic due to the rains…have never done it. I know to avoid acid loving plants but I wonder is this the right time of year (before the promised and needed next rains) and/or is it still too cold at night?

lime can go on anytime if your soil is acidic. mix it into the soil if you can and let the rain do the rest. Not all soils in this area are acidic enough to need lime so test soil first if you can.
