Lamium archangel

Does anyone have any suggestions other than digging out (which I have been doing for two years) for dispersing my Lamium archangel? It is coming up from what appears to be my Dougie fir roots.

I just keep pulling it up, which seems to keep it in check. At least it seems to spread mostly near the surface instead of six feet under like the bindweed!

I think digging out is your only “organic” option. This is an invasive plant. The roots tend to grow underground and pop up everywhere. I have them from the neighbours. This is a plant common in hanging baskets, when the season is done, and the basket thrown out, the Lamium takes off. Reminder to us all not to throw things in places they can start to grow and be a nuisance.
