In April 2024, the CVHS facilitated a workshop on soil building. Twenty participants led by Arzeena Hamir (Amara Farm) transformed a grass lawn using raw materials that were collected at very little or no cost to create a vegetable garden and greenhouse plot.
One year later and the space is producing an abundance of food such as berries, garlic, squash, tomatoes and sunflowers.
