Really interesting tip about lying the larger plants down in a trough so the stem stays in the warm part of the soil. Cutting off so much hard-won growth (the lower branches) will be hard for me but I’ll give it a try this year! :smile:

It does seem counter-intuitive but it works! I’ve done it for years…the plants are really strong and make up for lost growth in no time. News to me, however, the trick about laying them down in a trough when they’re really tall. What a great tip!
