Dahlia Gall - What to Look For

Cathrine Featherby, from the Victoria Dahlia Society (and speaker at one of our past meetings) has provided us with this excellent write up, with lots of photos, to help education growers on dahlia gall diseases. This is the perfect time to brush up on this information as tubers will soon start waking up or be on sale. As Cathrine advises, dahlia gall can take up to two years to show symptons and it can stay in the ground for two years after the infected plant has been removed. Prevention is definitely the preferred option.
