CVHS Workshop Host Needed
The CVHS Workshop Committee is looking for a member volunteer to host a workshop on
installing a BBQ pad. Although we are calling it a BBQ pad it could also be a patio
extension with a size somewhere between 4’ x 4’ or 4’ x 6’.
Our purpose for this workshop is to demonstrate how to build a foundation that lasts and
that can be scaled up or down in size based on the application.
The host should have parking that accommodates anywhere between 10-15 participants
and washroom access.
Our proposed dates are Saturday, April 26 with an alternate bad weather backup date of
Saturday, May 3. The workshop will be 2 hours approximately 10am-noon.
The host will work with the CVHS Workshop Leader to select pavers. Delivery of pavers will be
available if needed. Please note the homeowner needs to select a paver that does not
need to be cut.
The host will be responsible for any expenses related to the workshop which include items
such as gravel, sand and pavers. An approximate estimate of the cost can be provided to
potential host keeping in mind the type of pavers that will affect the estimate.
If the topsoil that is removed is good quality it can be placed elsewhere on the property.
The host is to specify that once they are chosen. If it isn’t good quality material or the host
does not want it, it will be hauled away to the dump at the host’s expense.
Please reply to CVHS Workshop Co-Chairs if you are interested in being this workshop host:
