Backyard Bound-the complete guide to year round organic gardening in the Pacific Northwest by Linda Gilkeson
Likely, a lot of people that grow food will already know about this book. But if not, or you are new to food growing, I feel like this is the best book available for local growing. Linda lives on Saltspring Island, a little more mild than most places here, but she offers excellent practical advice for pretty much every type of edible you can grow in our climate. It’s an excellent reference and is actually interesting reading. Further details are shown on the book jacket photo below. She also contributes so much to the local growing community with her monthly bulletins that are also posted here on the Forum (and has spoken a few times at our monthly meetings)
