It was a beautiful day for our summer social. CVHS members and guests were treated to some fantastic talks including seed saving and how to divide hostas (many thanks to Leslie Cox, Comox Valley’s Duchess of Dirt), a visit from Horus the (female) red tailed hawk and her handler, a talk and display of some exquisite bonsai (thank you Frank!), and some fabulous advice and a demonstration on flower arranging (from Sherry who also mentioned that if there was enough interest, she would provide an information session on how to cultivate a cutting garden!).
Following are some photos of this lovely day.
