Self Watering Planters

These planters are growing an abundance of veggies with so little effort. They are hooked into our irrigation system so all we really need to do is watch! We are growing cucumber, various types of peppers, cucamelons, basil, tomatillos, thyme, red and golden beets, carrots, parsley, and an alyssum for the pollinators :). Best part—no bending required!

Interesting, Lorna. Are you growing your veg in containers like this because of some specific reason that you can’t plant straight into the ground, or just that you like using containers? It looks very convenient.

Hi Kim…mainly using these because we brought them from our previous home where there was no dirt to be found where there was sunshine. I must say I do like growing herbs and smaller veg in them…easy on the back!
