I really enjoy watching the Koi in my pond, they are fascinating and are very tame almost eating out of my hand. It amazes me that they stop feeding in October and hibernate in the depths of the pond until spring. Sp far they have evaded capture by Racoons, Herons and even a Peregrine Falcone the other day. They have to be pretty smart to get this large without capture. We even have a few babies this year, fingers crossed they get a chance to grow as big as this guy.
